About McLean’s Auto Body

Family owned and operated since 1971, we’ve earned our customers trust with our integrity, quality repairs and excellent customer service. As a local leader in the automotive repair industry, McLean’s has always strived to stay ahead of the competition in quality and service. McLean’s was the first shop in Santa Barbara to go “green” by switching over to ‘waterborne’ paint and doing so 2 years before it became mandatory. As a part of the community, it has always been important for McLean’s to be a front-runner in innovation and making sure we do our part in keeping our community clean and ‘green.’

About Mike McLean

Mike McLean and his family moved from St Louis, Mo in 1970 and shortly there after started McLean’s Auto Body & Paint on Fairview Ave in Goleta, California. The shop has been family owned and locally operated since it opened and Mike still comes to work 5 days a week with no plans to retire any time soon. An avid pilot, skydiver, and car enthusiast, Mike isn’t all work and no play. He boasts over 2000 jumps from airplanes, 6 of which he calls DB Cooper jumps because they were from a Boeing 727. You might also be familiar with one of his creations, the “2 headed” car he built that sits atop a car stand at the shop on the corner of Fairview Ave. and Daly St. The vehicle is actually 2 1978 Cougars that he cut in half and reattached. After a few additional modifications and changes, the car was street legal and ready to roll. It has also actually been featured in more than a few TV shows, like CHiPs, That’s Incredible, & Real People.
